Your Perfect Pocket Monster Tales: Z-A Mega Evolution Based on the Astrological Sign
This comeback of Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sparked widespread excitement across the community. Starting with the gradual reveal of fresh additions before the title's launch, to players forming strong opinions on the full roster of new Megas, there's plenty for fans to anticipate.
Given numerous of the Mega Evolutions showcasing unique designs that highlight their personalities, one thought naturally: How can link this with zodiac signs? The following is based on a blend of vibes, common zodiac traits, and personal experience.
Aries – Mega Camerupt
Honestly, Houndoom was almost chosen for Aries, as both are the Mega Pokémon and astrological sign that inspire the greatest apprehension. But, a Mega Houndoom comes across as constantly furious, which doesn't match the Ram's energy, renowned for being playful, light-hearted, and impulsive. This makes the Ram far more akin to Super Camerupt, which only erupts when angered. Stay on the friendly side of either and benefit from a powerful partner; if you cross them, prepare to get burned.
Taurus – Mega Heracross
Similar to a devoted Taurus, the reliable Heracross species, both in its standard and Mega form, has aided numerous trainers in Legends: Z-A. Though dependable, both the creature and a Taurus are also Fighting types, and – whether it's their trainer or a firm belief – will defend their side to the end. What about Mega Heracross that recalls most of my Bull-sign companions, though, is its unashamed love of treats. Many previous Pokédex entries note their fondness for tasty sap and how it employs its appendage to hoard it all, which is true Bull-sign vibe.
Gemini – Mega Medicham
Look at this absolute royalty. It's impossible to tell me this creature is not the life of every party, offering an endless fountain of gossip to anyone who wish to hear. Just like an enrapturing, sociable Gemini, it's very simple to imagine Mega Medicham captivating an whole open area with their tales. Medicham’s Pokédex entry also states its capacity to predict an enemy’s next moves, which sounds very like a people-smart Twins.
Cancer – Mega Manectric
Cancer is commonly regarded as the most emotional sign of the astrological wheel, a passionate symbol famous for frequently becoming absorbed in their feelings. Per the official info, Mega Evolution fills the Pokémon with a “tremendous amount of energy, but it's excessive for this Pokémon to completely manage,” which sounds a lot like a typical Crab emotional outburst. It is also known for its capability to make a storm cloud over its very self – and if there’s one thing a Crab is likely to do, it’s rain on their own parade.
The Lion – Mega Starmie
Oh, did you assume I was planning to select the lion Pokémon for the king of the stars? Aside from the fact that it would be far too on the nose, The Lion is clearly Mega Starmie, the diva whose legs just went viral for being extremely fabulous (or horrifying, based on your preference). Players couldn’t look away from the purple sea star, and that’s precisely the identical vibe a Leo brings to the table. Starmie is also rumored to be broadcasting radio waves from its red core out into space, and it’s typical of a Lion to be putting on a performance, albeit for extraterrestrials.
The Maiden – Mega Victreebel
The always-ready and constantly-worried Virgo is ideally represented in Mega Victreebel, the Mega with constant acid reflux. The zodiac symbol known for being endearingly critical is clearly reflected throughout this Pokémon’s entire evolutionary chain, from a always surprised expression like a Virgo when you tell them you lack a retirement plan, to its upside-down face that’s just like the emoji a Virgo sends to the chatroom when all says they want to “be spontaneous” instead of creating a plan.
Libra – Mega Audino
Observe this sweet, empathetic creature, who uses the feelers on its auditory organs to tell how people are emotionally by their heartbeat. Always empathetic – occasionally to a fault – and striving to keep the harmony, there are many Libras who would likely appreciate Super Audino's abilities. However, to be frank, it would probably just make them worry more about others.
Scorpio – Super Banette
Banette is a Pokémon with a unexpectedly tragic backstory: Discarded as a doll, it gained sentient through sheer resentment and vowed retribution on its former owner. Per the Pokédex, Mega Evolution, “enhances its spitefulness.” That seems exactly like several conversations I’ve had with my scary Scorpio acquaintances. A Scorpio adores karma and comeuppance, making them the ideal pair with Mega Banette.
Sagittarius – Super Hawlucha
Both Mega Hawlucha and Archers are constantly putting on a performance. Being a Sagittarius myself, the number of times I’ve called myself some variation of a “playful small jester” is countless. The showiest and most attention-seeking Super Form, its description even mentions how it “poses to display its strength.” I would do the very same thing if I had a Super Form, making Mega Hawlucha the most apt Sagittarius match I can imagine.
The Goat – Mega Absol
Did you know that a Mega Absol has the power to foresee calamities in advance? That gives the exact same energy as a Goat, who tends to consistently think they’re right. Interestingly, much like a visionary Super Absol, they frequently are. It’s also the very first Mega Evolution that trainers meet in Legends: Z-A – just like a Capricorn to get in on the beginning of the Super Form craze.
The Water Bearer – Mega Chandelure
Aloof element Aquarius is arguably the non-fire placement that is closest to a flame symbol – its sister sign is the Lion, and there are numerous memes about Sagittarius and Water Bearer being chaotic accomplices. Super Chandelure's dual Ghost/Fire category matches perfectly with this, and the Mega’s overall intimidating aura is also very Water Bearer. If you hadn't yet convinced, the Super Form's description says it “draws in negative energy and transforms it into power.” If that doesn’t exactly {encaps
