Trio Named as Finalists for Young Sports Personality Honour

Lionesses forward Michelle Agyemang, darts sensation Luke Littler and batswoman Davina Perrin have been selected as contenders for the 2025 Young Sports Star of the Year award.
The trio have been celebrated for their remarkable achievements over the last year.
Agyemang helped the Lionesses secure Euro 2025, Littler won the world title for the very first time, and Perrin rose to fame with a historic innings.
Littler won the award in 2024 after his remarkable rise.
The shortlisted athletes were unveiled on a widely-listened-to radio show.
This year's winner will be announced during a live broadcast on the annual sports awards show on the 18th of December.
The event will be broadcast from seven in the evening GMT.
The Football Star

Just three months after her international debut, Agyemang played a dramatic and decisive role in England's run to winning the Euros.
She entered the fray to score vital last-gasp goals in both the quarter-final and semi-final.
Her incredible contributions led to her being named Young Player of the Tournament.
Later in the year, she was awarded the prestigious Golden Girl honour for the best young player in Europe.
She was also nominated for the Kopa Trophy for the world's best under-21 female player.
Agyemang, who has been on loan at Brighton from Arsenal, ruptured her anterior cruciate ligament in October.
"Being on the shortlist for this award is an honour," said Agyemang. "Thank you to God and I'm appreciative of the support I've received from my inner circle and supporters."
The Darts Prodigy

Littler kicked off the year in incredible form as - aged 17 - he became the earliest-ever winner in history.
He secured a comprehensive triumph over Michael van Gerwen in the final.
His subsequent victory at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth competitor to complete the prestigious triple crown of major titles.
And he wasn't finished there - his triumph in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he reached world number one for the maiden occasion.
At 18, he is the youngest man to do so, shattering the previous record.
"Earning a spot on the shortlist for Young Sports Personality of the Year is a massive accolade," stated Littler. "Winning last year was a special memory for me and I've had another incredible 12 months. I want to continue promoting darts."
Davina Perrin
Age: 19 Sport: Cricket
Perrin is one of English cricket's top prospects and surged to prominence with an extraordinary and record-breaking innings in August.
Her magnificent 42-ball century in The Hundred is the fastest by an English woman in T20s.
It also stands as the equal third-quickest women's T20 century in a top-tier competition.
Perrin ended up as runner-up in the run-scoring charts and was named the young player of the year by the PCA.
"I'm incredibly grateful to be shortlisted for the young athlete award," expressed Perrin. "This is phenomenal. I hope it inspires more girls to get into cricket."
